Procedures for When CM/ECF is Unavailable

If the Bankruptcy Court is closed or the CM/ECF system is not available, filing may be accomplished using the time stamper located in the courthouse lobby.  Please bring at least two copies to stamp and deposit one stamped copy in the mail slot.  The other stamped copy should be docketed once the system is available.  To have the filed date changed to match the stamped copy after e-filing the document, file a Request to Change Filing Date/Time. This event is located under the ECF menu titled [Bankruptcy][Notices] (or) [Adversary][Notices]. You may also email the Helpdesk helpdeskde@deb.uscourts.gov) to request that the filed date be changed to match the stamped copy.  The email should contain the case name, number, Judge’s name/initials, and the docket number of the entry to be backdated.
